“Celebrating Strength & Style: Boudoir Portraits at the Breast Cancer Fashion Show”
May 2

Every April, the My Breast Cancer Support fashion show at the Wentworth Hotel brings together a powerful mix of purpose, style, and community. It’s a stunning event where local boutiques—including Shelly Manougian’s Bella Intimates in Rye, NH—dress a group of breast cancer survivors in their finest collections. These women, all over 50, walk the runway not just in beautiful clothing, but in celebration of their strength, resilience, and femininity.
Empowered Boudoir Photography for Women Over 50

Photographing Strength, Style, and Survival
For the past few years, I’ve had the honor of photographing the women modeling Shelly’s lingerie. Last year, we were lucky with the weather and photographed outside. This year, after the show wrapped, we brought the session back to my studio—and the results were just as striking. The energy, the confidence, the quiet beauty of each woman came through in a way that felt honest and empowering.
Collaborating with Bella Intimates to Celebrate Confidence and Style
What I appreciate most about working with Shelly is her openness and creative spirit. Her boutique, Bella Intimates, is known for helping women feel confident and supported through curated, beautiful lingerie. She’s always up for trying something new, and her commitment to celebrating women at every stage of life makes our collaboration feel meaningful and exciting.
A Shared Vision of Empowered Femininity
Shelly’s lingerie collections offer the perfect mix of elegance and edge—something I love capturing in boudoir sessions. Her willingness to think outside the box brings an energy that translates beautifully on camera.
